During my primary architectural studies in Iran, I came up with the interdisciplinary nature of this field and its potentiality in combining with other majors. It could be related to any field of study that I had imagined; in psychology, informatics, media, art, engineering and so on, you could find the trace of architecture.
For my master studies, I started looking for an interdisciplinary view on architecture; and MediaArchitecture was a major that could cover this view. During my education at Bauhaus University, I had the opportunity to take part in courses offered by Media and Architecture faculties. I could improve my programming and visualization skills on the one hand and designing spaces enhanced by media technologies, especially exhibitions on the other hand. This opportunity paved the way to do my internship in the field of exhibition design at “Szenographie Valentine Koppenhöfer” and do the visualizations of a research project at the faculty of Civil Engineering.
Currently, I am a Ph.D. Candidate of the Chair for Computer Science in Architecture (InfAr) at Bauhaus-University Weimar. My interdisciplinary research is entitled as “Analyzing Architectural Space: Identifying the Relationship between Architectural Configuration and Saliency of Spaces Using Integrated Eye-Tracking Technology in Virtual Reality Headsets“. During my Research at Bauhaus University I had the chance to be the supervisor and lecturer of Manifest of Practice workshop and exhibition of Bauhaus university to celebrate 100 years of Bauhaus in Iran. Parallel to my Ph.D. studies, I am working in Stuttgart as an architect at a creative office, “Gellink und Schwämmlein Architekten”, that works mainly on corporate and exhibition design.
