CASTLE SIZED INTERFACES FOR CROWDS

MediaArchitecture Lab

This project began one year after the town of Meiningen (Thuringia, Germany) contacted the Bauhaus University Weimar about a possible event in Meiningen to commemorate the memory of George II, duke of Sachsen-Meiningen. The idea was to create a façade mapping event that was eventually expanded to also include an interactive part to the show. The project was taken by a group of four MediaArchitecture students for their masters’ thesis, with whom the project was co-created. I did this project in a group. As I was responsible for design of the machine,The main challenge for me was to design and build the machine and other parts of the interaction with materials which were cheap and easy to obtain but at the same time the highest quality possible.
